Glen fishing on The River Bure the other side of Wroham Bridge

A blog post and picture gallery for each day, plus a video.

What we got up to:

After an early start we sailed to Wroxham Broad, 1st stop was for a swim, dropped the anchor and after establishing the depth was around 6 feet we dived in, Glen first followed by Kahra and then me. There was a  sailing competition underway in the main Broad, we did a couple of circuits enjoying the fairly brisk wind.

On our way out of the Broad heading towards the main river, we were poodling along when all of a sudden half a dozen boats were suddenly heading our way. Apparently, they all wanted to go around the buoy that was just ahead of us. A man on the lead bout asked us in a rather loud voice if we wouldn't mind "moving out of the way".

From Wroham Broad it is only 10-15 minutes sail to the center of Wroxham. We stopped at cafe to get the mast down, went under bridge and  moored outside the Kings Head, it's a free mooring, plus the hand out a WIFI code access code at the bar.

Listened to England lose to Germany 4-1, then sailed down the River Bure and back. Not much down this part of the river and will probably not explore the part again. On a positive note Glen caught his 1st fish. Moored back up outside Kings Head, which is in need of some reputation management, we thought it was alright by the way, the beer at least, as we did not sample the food.
